I Love the Medieval Fairs

They Are Sooo Much Fun

Well, I've only ever been to one perticular fair....but it's still always fun every time we go. They have all kinds of shows and the shopping....that's the best part. I love dragons and I get a lot of statues there and jewelry and paintings....so much to see and do. 

But the funnest part is dressing up. Me and my sister usually go as pirates. Which is incredibly fun. How often do you get to walk around dressed like a pirate....not very often. :P

They have the big jousting show at the end of the day....sometimes there's even fake blood...Yay!!! Armor and horses....gotta love it!! :D

It's fun to get away from the modern world for a day...to let your modern cares melt away and enjoy some old time fun while dressed as a hot pirate wench....doesn't get much better than that!!! =^_^=

    That sounds pretty cool jrabbit, it must be a little tough to travel around so much, but it also sounds like a really awesome experience. Good luck!! If you decide to do it that is. :D

    When I was 14 I went to my 1st fair with my mother and step father and was addicted since then. When I went off to college I wasn't able to go anymore, (no money, none close...so I thought). At that time I didn't know that there were ren fests threw out the US. After I had my 3rd child I found one 20 minutes away and worked there for 9 yrs until I moved. They are soooo much fun. Now that my 3rd child has moved away I have started to think about becoming a "Rennie" as they are called. (I group of people who travel the Renissance cercuit). I have already contacted my previous employeer and they wouldn't mind. It's a hard way to live though, but might be fun for a year. "Rennies" are the modern day gypsies, just like "carnies", kinda neat in one way.
