365 Days A YearI love the scent of the earth and the freshness of the air when it's raining. I love to watch the droplets race down the windows as much as I like to feel them on my skin. I love the way the flowers glitter and sparkle in sunshine after it has rained. I love to lie in bed and listen to it pitter-pattering against the roof... it's such a calming, tranquil sound. I love thunderstorms, lightning, all of it.
Sun showers are beautiful, but I adore those grey, cloudy, rainy days just as much. On top of all that, it is essential for life. The sad thing is, it barely ever rains where I live. Mostly it is hot here, and if there's one thing I cannot stand, it is heat. Ick.
Rain is often attributed to sadness, but rain makes me feel at peace, makes me feel contented and happy. I like to dance in it, to frolick and play and just go wild in it. I like to stand in it, let it pour over me.
Rain makes me feel alive in a way barely anything can these days.
I think it is a wonder, and I don't see how people can dread it. I love rain so much that I wish I could live in a place where it rains almost constantly... I'd even like to live in a place where it rained all 365 days a year.
