I Love the Smell of Pine Trees
A long time ago, when I lived in Nebraska, I traveled to the Nebraska National Forest, which is almost in the center of the state. I lived some ways to the south at that time. I visited there a few time with my wife, and we even camped there one time. This forest is not natural; it's man-planted. It was planted way early in the 20th century. There is a trail that goes for a few miles to a lookout tower. The trail goes through a stand of jack pine trees. I remember the fragrance of these trees; it smelt great. One of these days I'd like to go back again.
