The pine the conifer do smell nice. When you rub the stems between your hands they tend to linger.

Wonderful, Sharon.. so happy you liked my suggestion.. that's what friends are for! To give us wonderful ideas we hadn't thought about before.. that's the beauty of 'togetherness'.. even here on EP! :)

Nice, Sharon.. I'm glad you get to enjoy this time with your friend and soak up the atmosphere of the pines.. perhaps you can get out for a drive in the country a bit more often? At times our local grocery store sells small potted pine trees.. if you can get someone to bring you one you can enjoy the scent and close your eyes and imagine yourself in the forest or at your friend's place.. sometimes imagination can be almost as good as actually being there... :)

oh yes Dee and I sure miss it. I dont drive any more and I dont walk to far either. But I do get to smell the pine when I stay at my friends house about 2 times a year. She lives out of town. I love it there so peaceful and fresh air not like this stinky Longview Washington. I hate this place with a passion. OOPS/

The best is a walk in a forest full of pines.. mmmm-mmmm.. fresh, mountain air, the scent of pines, and the sound and feel of needles crackling under your feet as you walk along.. a little slice of heaven!

Oh yes, a christmas tree! That perfect smell ! It is heavenly to walk in your home and smell a pine tree. Just catching the fragrance walking thru the woods relaxes me.
