I love the Saint Lawrence River because it is the most special place in the world. It is located about 80 miles north of Syracuse, NY and about 10 minutes from the Canadian border in the province of Ontario.

I have had the privilege of being able to go there since I was 5 yrs old. Am now 61, so it is very close to my heart.

It has a special calming effect to all who visit. It is also called the Thousand Islands, because there are over that amount of Islands. One doesn't even have to go out on a boat to experience the special effect the mighty river has.

I think it's like going to an out of body experience, except it's real. I have never participated in a yoga class, but I think it must be close to that.

I would suggest any one who lives or visits New York State make an effort to visit this wonderful sight.

I know I sound like I work for the chamber of commerce, but I assure I do not. I have visited many places in my 61 yrs, and always call the river my home. I went to boarding school and college overseas, and visited many wonderful places and sights, but the mighty St Lawrence will always be number one.
