Hey, I'm with you here! The obsession with violent trash on tv botheres me too. And it's so boring, the sheer lack of imagination!

The twilight zone hasn't been on for many years in my country, but I still got some on tape. I really loved some episodes! Some were witty and funny, others had a feelgood message of hope, lots of fantasy, a glimpse of what might be...

I have several favorites, but if I have to choose, I'd say it's "Her Pilgrim Soul". I love it so much, that even writing down the title feels like an act of beauty.

My favorites are "To Serve Man" (it's ... a COOKBOOK!!!)

and an episode called "Next Stop, Willoughby," which is about an executive who has a harpy for a wife and is struggling at work and just wishes for a bit of peace.

Same holds true of "The Outer Limits". Both have a bigger impact with suspense than other shows and movies have with buckets of gore.
