I Thank God For Blondie The Group For The Songs That Touched Me

Where do I begin? the begining of course. One day in March or April of 2004 I was putting

something away or I was looking for something in my father's garage when I was led to sift

through some old personal items and I came across some Old 45's or (45rpm records), and in

those records there were a couple of them that triggered emotions that took me back in time,

reliving the emotions that accompanied the record at the time of release, and then I stumbled onto

the record by Blondie, it was a 45 single of the album Rapture. (See Below For images)The title

struck my curiosity, for the previous Sunday service the sermon was on; The Rapture

(for those that do not accept the theological word or term rapture), "The Catching Away"

In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 "The Change or Raising ( in a twinkle of an eye),

In 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, and the translation (of Enoch), In Hebrews 11:5

The scripture was as if someone was reading it back to me as if reminding me of what was told

unto me (by God the Holy Spirit) (John 16:4), And He (God), told me that the corruptible body

[(sin nature) as a hairy, grotesque wormlike caterpillar, if you will, for illustration purposes],

must put on the incorruptible ( putting on of the white robes of righteousness by holy living.

Revelation/Appocalypse 7:14), all these thoughts were suddenly flooding my mind as I held this 45

single of the album Rapture by Blondie whose label is Chrysalis For those that never had a

biology class lesson, a chrysalis is a stage of development of a metamorphosis (A cocoon or

"stage of change", if you will), of a hairy, grotesque wormlike caterpillar which God was

expressing unto me as sin natured or sin filled man following the ways of God through repentance

or departing of the sinful nature. We would be changed or formed unto a new creature (From a

worm to a Graceful, and Majestic butterfly or as a worm/wretched man to the Righteousness of

God in His Son Jesus), 2 Corinthians 5:17 , As we wrap ourselves or should I say as God wraps

us in His Son's Righteousness we are transformed from a wormlike, grotesque, sin filled,

wretched man unto the Righteousness of God the Father in His Son Jesus Christ.

Stay with me now.

We are as a wormlike,,, grotesque,,, caterpillars when we were of the world, but as God wraps

us in His Word (both the Logos 3056 SN and the Rhema 4487 SN), We are in this chrysalis

or cocoon which I revealed to you as a "stage of change". So, we begin to change as we feed

off of the Word until we are called to be with the Lord through death's door or the so called rapture

(The corruptible putting on the incorruptible).

Back to the record... the record has a picture of a butterfly and it is exactly placed right above the

label "Chrysalis"(which symbolically means the changing), and the butterfly looks as if it is flying

upward to the word or album title "Rapture" (all these word pictures are going on as God shows

me the width, the height, the depth and the breadth of His Word.), On the record there is also the

time duration of 6min.,:33 sec. which the Lord reminds me of Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the

kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto thee. ( In words

that the Lord allowed me to understand;...Believe, ask for forgiveness, repent, seek to be Holy,

do the right thing which is to Love God and obey everything He reveals unto you), by this time I

am stunned and practically in DISBELIEF! I was like; No way!, No way! God is speaking to me

through this record?!?, that just happened to be pressed or reproduced in 1981 and He chose this

time (2004), to reveal it to little ole me! No way!

Can I...be more...significant to God, that I can ever concieve? (As I stopped and reflected on that.)

 

God's Word or Rhema 4487 SN tells us that God chose the foolishness, the base, the

despised, the weak of this world to confound the wise and the things that are mighty.

1 Corinthians 1: 24-28 ..."I have loved thee with an everlasting love therefore with lovingkindness

have I drawn thee", Jeremiah 31:3

 

(as tears start weltering up in my eyes), at the time of writing

 

He gave up Himself and died for me?!?John 15:13 that I may be with Him?!? John 14:1-3

How can you measure that? (The Cross is the answer.), I know, I know His love is Infiinitely,

Eternal without meausure. And then if all the rest was not enouph to get me to believe that He

was talking to little ole me! The flip side of the record shows the title of the other song and that

is "Walk Like Me" !!!!!!!!!! To show you the greatness and magnificence of the Lord, The lyrics

have nothing to do with God. Herein are those Lyrics, but let me recap I was led to the garage,

I was set up to see and feel the Lord through a record of an artist that has nothing to do with

the Lord spiritually. but the irony is that she (Blondie or Deborah Harry), was used for the

purpose of God Back in 1981 to get a message across to me in 2004 and No, I do not dare

say; He has only showed me this (For GOD is no respector of persons 2 Samuel 14:14,

Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11, Ephesians 6:9, Colossians 3:25) I would Love to know and hear

that God did exactly the same thing to other people with the same 45 record of Blondie.

The drawing of God the Father by God the Holy Spirit unto God the Son (through the Cross),

Praise and glory be to God and blessed be, His Holy name!!!

AMEN and AMEN!!!

I have also incuded google searches for Deborah Harry's (lead singer), and Chris Stein's (lead guitarist, base, and lyrics) profession or non-profession of faith I'm going to try to upload record images front and back (See Below)

But again, Chris Stein denied the connection, while at the same time seeming to prove it. From behind his black sunglasses, which he kept on the entire time, he said, "I’m really hard-pressed to say that my Jewishness has anything to do with my music," adding, "It’s another fact about people who tend to analyze the s--- out of everything."

I love the ACLU and I'm concerned now, especially when it comes to our rights, with current politics and the religious community and the Conservative majority or minority - I don't know who they are.

To me, nothing is better than Deborah Harry's voice. It is her voice that makes agnostic as opposed to total atheist. Her voice had to be somehow divinely inspired. There MUST be some sort of power or deity of some sort to have created something so splendid and delightful as Deborah Harry's voice.
