Cybil? Never heard that one... I think he still loved Priscilla. She was his wife and the mother of his only child (so I WANT TO BELIEVE he had her in mind when singing it). Also, every new girlfriend always resembled her so much...
I too beleive he wrote it about Priscilla! in his Vegas bloated days he was dating a very young model called Cybil Shepard who then went on to star beside Bruce Willis in the sitcom Moonlighting.
THANK you for rating up this song... I loved Moonlighting, also the theme song by Al Jarreau *swoons* btw, a little fyi... I searched Wikipedia and "Always on My Mind" is an American country music song by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson, recorded first by Brenda Lee in 1972. (who knew?)
thats funny because I watched a doco and they showed footage of him telling Priscilla the song was for her! I guess he meant it as more of a dedication.
I was 17 and it was my 1st concert... (ELVIS was my first!) When he came on stage, I screamed like a crazed Beatles fan you see in '64 footage! First of all it was ELVIS, the movie star, the singer, the legend! I remember it was too short, like only 51 minutes... We clapped and screamed, then heard "Elvis has left the building" :-(
