Across The Universe

(The Beatles)

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly as they slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind
Possessing and caressing me
Jai Guru Deva OM

Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes
They call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe
Jai Guru Deva OM

Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Sounds of laughter shades of live are ringing through my open ears
Inciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on, across the universe
Jai Guru Deva OM

Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Jai Guru Deva
Jai Guru Deva
Jai Guru Deva
Jai Guru Deva
Jai Guru Deva [fade out]

Another Great one. My favorite line is the "Thoughts Meander' line..

I think this song is awesome. I love the dreaminess of it. A magical way of thinking.

i love this song by the Beatles a great sounding song with amazing wordsby JOHN LENNONLOL.

Good One.

That is a nice song. The Beatles are one of those rare groups that are going to live forever.
Another song you might like is John Lennon's Dream Number 9. I think he produced it after the Beatles broke up. Anyhow, it reminds me of when I have had some lucid dreams, suddenly wake up and then think wow.......that was an awesome dream.

Yes I like that song very much. Love the "I thought I could hear....hear....somebody call out my name......John" :o) Brilliant!

It has always been interesting to me that the words to Dream Number 9 make me think he had a premonition of his death. “Took a walk down the street”, “Somebody call out my name (John)”, “Two spirits dancing so strange”, “Something warm, sudden cold”, “The spirit dance was unfolding”. I researched this while composing this comment and found that many other people have had the same thoughts.

That is strange when you look at it that way. I think the thought has crossed my mind before as well. I prefer to think of it as a beautiful song about love.

I love that song, all there songs always have a great meaning
