Hearty Chili

I've taken this recipe to our State Fair and came in first every time I've entered. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as everyone I know has.

1 to 2 lbs of lean ground beef
1 Tbsp of minced garlic (fresh is ok, but I buy the jar it's easier and I use it a lot)
1 bell pepper (diced)
1 Yellow or Sweet onion (diced) both are good
1 can of corn (drained) white is the best
1 can of black beans
1 can of stewed tomatoes 16 oz. is ok  larger is better
1 can of tomato sauce
1 can lg black olives (sliced) I do it by hand, but you could buy them sliced
1 packet of chili seasoning (Lawry's is the best)

Brown meat in a deep pan. Add mince garlic, bell pepper, and onion. Cook until translucent. Add corn. Add seasoning packet, mix thoroughly! Add beans, and both tomatoes. Stir. Add a little of the olive brine and slice olive while cooking. Cook for 30-45 mins. Stirring occasionally. Serves about 6+ Better the next day. Oh, and serve it with corn bread! I seriously hope you pass this on to any and everyone who loves Chili! Peace!
