Sore Thumbs...Tired Eyes...

I love to cross stitch and have been doing so for over 20 years. I find it relaxing and im always so proud of the finished article. I have done dozens and dozens over the years, most as presents of people. I could sit for hours and can get quite obsessed with a project on the go! l
Last summer i made a retirement sampler for a work collegue and it had been a few months since Id done any sewing and my hands got so painful, especially my thumbs! Also, my eyes were getting really strained.

I have arthritis in my thumbs and they are becoming more painful. Im in my mid 40s and my eyes are changing my specs are on and off all the time!! Im afraid im not going to be able to spend as much time stitching in the future and that makes me sad!

You will be able to! Just see your eye doctor. It will be alright. I am 45 and I latch hook like a crazy person, as well as cross stitch. I was thinking I needed to see my eye doc for a quick check up soon. I use a small Ott lite with magnifier for my cross stitch.
