I love to be barefoot too, inside and outside. Flip-flops, shoes and boots have their uses but I want to be barefoot whenever possible. Of coursed, I also love to be naked as much as possible too!

to go barefoot outside, thats the entire point of going barefoot...why must you wear shoes outside....if you have soft feet, well, toughen them! After a week of being barefoot outside, ones feet get used to it...stones take a little longer to get used to,usually about a month. At primary school, when we forced city kids to go to school barefeet, and their feet were tender and sickly soft, but after a week, they coped very well, and actually enjoyed it.after a month or two...their feet were rubber tough.

When I recieved custody of my 4yo son,his late mother raised him a shoeser, and he had the softest feet, but from the first day,I made him go barefoot, and until hiss death he remianed a barefooter...and he loved being barefoot. When I tried to convince him to even wear shoes in winter,he refused, and said he loved the life of nature beneath his feet...so barefooting is definately for outdoors!

why wear shoes outdoors...the more you walk barefoot outdoors, the tougher the feet get...there realy is no danger, unless(with great respect I say this)if you are completely blind..,.the best joy of being barefoot,is just that...being barefoot...OUTSIDE...to feel different textures...the heat of the tar mack....the softness of a forest floor....the whole idea of being barefoot,is to be so outside....why do you think some kids are so comfortable outside barefoot....because they have toughned their feet...HOW?By walking and staying barefoot outdoors

Yep! Lose the shoes for a summer and you will never be the same. If you start aothers will follow your lead. It's cool to go barefoot.

How about not putting the flip flops on to begin with? You said "Obviously shoes are necessary while going outside etc". Really? "Obviously"? I guess you are not aware that going barefoot everywhere was once a fad for young people, including university students like you. When? The late 1960s and early 1970s. I knew more than a few young women who would spend the entire summer barefoot. And I do not mean sandals or flip flops. They just start gradually getting used to it early in the spring, going for short walks around the neighborhood, or in parks, then longer every few days, and by summer they could walk on the hottest, roughest, pavement with no pain or injury. Yes, there is some risk, but only a small risk once you get tough and are used to it. Not as risky as many of the daily activities we already do that are inherently risky. All of life is to a varying degree. Driving cars, motorcycles, using power tools, skydiving, drinking alcohol, are all riskier than going barefoot. And going barefoot is FREE. It's like getting free reflexology all day long, as long as you want.
