I Love to Grocery Shop
I can't help it. I love grocery shopping. I love almost everything about it!
Sights, smells, food...It's got it all :-P There are some things that I particularly like about it however:
•Gliding around on a shopping trolley. Whenever I use a shopping trolley, if the aisle's clear, I get a bit of steam, lift my feet up off the ground & let the trolley guide me around. It's about as close to flying as you can get without jumping out of a plane. Just gotta watch that you don't bump into other people or shelves
•Self serve checkouts. I've had some good & not so good checkout chicks (and dudes) in the past, but nothing beats scanning your own groceries. And the feeling you get when you master the self checkout system? It's hard to beat. You feel empowered & in control.
•Music. Some people find the music played in supermarkets annoying. Sure, it's loud, but it gives you some entertainment while you shop. The best part about that though is when you hear a song you haven't heard before or haven't heard in a long time that you like. Whenever that happens, I take a note of whatever lyrics I can hear so that when I get home, I can look it up & listen to it some more. I've discovered more than one song that way. It's great!
