A Natural High

A s a child I didn't have a thirst for knowledge. In my late 20's and an 8th grade education, I took the GED Test and passed the 1st time around. I was shocked. I attended college for the following 3yrs and fell in love with learning. After attaining study skills and a couple of quarters, I was achieving mostly A's (as a single parent of 4). I also made the Deans List. I'm sharing this to say why this is a natural high for me. But I'm not just talking about the "feel good" experience. I'm saying I could feel a real change in my brain chemistry, which gave me a natural high. I love it.

    Absolutely! Check out an old book , Magister Ludi by Hermann Hesse, and his description of the Glass Bead Game.



    Am in complete awe of anyone who can make the Dean's List as a single parent of any children, much less four. You are!
