The Kabbalah

Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu Melekh ha-olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner shel Shabbat.

Having such a conservative family is a comfort but also it can seem a burden. The world has so many disturbing attractions which undermine everything. It is the Opponent's world, so his shining distractions appear so 'I want it now!' You find yourself engulfed by materialism so you have little time for spiritual things.

I am fortunate, my family, my parents discuss these disturbances with us, and both my brother and I have a 'healthy' attitude towards materialism. If we buy something new we donate something unused, or old.

I took an interest maybe two years ago (probably near three years ago) in the more mystical aspects of Judaism. Kabbalah is fascinating. I am in a series of lessons to learn more, how to apply Kabbalah in my life.

Your family has a great attitude towards life. I've attempt to understand the Kabbalah, too, but so far all attempts have failed.

i am not jewish either but the kabbalah is a fascinating side to things expecially from my point working with much of the mystical side of things much draws from such indeed

I'm not Jewish, but I agree, the Kabbalah is quite interesting!
