Hi, I am new to this site. I am a Navy wife of 23 years. Have several deployments under my belt. Loneliness is one of the hard ones to get over. Basically, you don't. You just learn to accept it for what it is and you fill your time apart with things that chew away at your time apart. One day at a time. Prepare for home coming as soon as they leave to give you something to look forward to. If Navy, talk to your spouce and come up with a banner or somthing so you could identify yourselves during homecomings. It makes it alot easier for you to get to your love one alot quicker. I deal with missing my hubby by being as busy as I can. Just keep head held high. He will be home b4 you know it. It seems like forever but in the scheme of things it won't be long...

I AM A MARINE WIFE AND ALTHOUGH MY HUSBAND HAS NEVER DEPLOYED YET I FIND MYSELF AWAY FROM HIM MORE THEN A WIFE AND HUSBAND SHOULD BE. AND I TRY AND KEEP MYSELF DESTRACTED, BUT AS THE DAYS GO ON IT GETS HARDER AND HARDER. THE BEST ADVISE I HAVE FOR U IS TO KEEP URSELF SURROUNDED BY POSITIEVE PEOPLE, AND MAKE SURE U 2 KEEP UP THE COMMUNICATION, WE DIDNT HAVE THAT FOR ALONG TIME WHEN I WAS IN CALI WITH FAMILY AND WHEN HE WAS IN FLORIDA FOR SCHOOL, WE DIDNT HAVE THAT PART FIGURED OUT AND IT JUST MAKE IT THAT MUCH HARDER, IM SORRY I DONT HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO TELL YOU BUT I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS!

Keep yourself as busy as you can while he is away and try your best to rely on any other military wives as possible but beware cause some are evil. LOL!!! Seriously evil. Rely on your family too. I know its not the same at all cause right now my hubby is gone til August and its killing me too. It never gets easier but it never gets worse.
