I Love to Run
Running has changed who I thought I was.
At one point in my life I weighed 260 pounds. I was very inactive and would have laughed hysterically if anyone would told me that one day...way in the future...I would fall in love with it.
When I first started, my goal was just to make it a half a block. I could barely do that.
Information was hard to come by at first..
It was a process for me, of discovery. I did research, read books, talked with a lot of runners. Most weren't helpful...they were natural runners, I suppose, never thought about the process.
Some friends, who do marathons, triathalons, were very gracious. Steering me to websites, shoe stores, other little tips.
I developed a walk/run plan....and kept at it.
I love that journey. I go back through my logs and it makes me teary....what running has done for me.
