Finding My Voice

I've had some hardships growing up, but something I've always been able to fall back to when I'm down is my music. I've been surrounded by music my whole life, playing Trumpet since I was four, Violin since I was six, and Piano since I was ten. I always knew music was my passion, the thing in life I knew would always be constant.

So, a few years ago I decided I wanted to sing for a living.
Yep, at sixteen there I am saying I want to be a Vocal Performance major, except I've never had lessons for singing before in my life, and I have no idea where to start.
Its thanks to a wonderful woman near where I grew up that I am where I am today. I'm not going to lie, she wasn't the best teacher in the world, she was a bit self absorbed and was quite forgetful. However, she gave me the basics of what I needed to audition to schools and, in the end, get in on scholarship!

I've always been afraid of growing up, of becoming an adult and being all alone in the world. But I'm on the track to living my dream, and as long as I have music and singing in my life I know I'm going to be okay.

I'll just sing on, and hope for the best. :)
