My favorite sport is competitive swimming. I used to be on a team when I was younger but then I had to have some surgery that kept me away from the sport for a while. Since then I havn't been able to swim much at all but I still love it.

    I use to love to swim, but now I'm gimped out, so I need to use a floatation device (aqua jogger) to stay afloat as I propel myself through the water with my gimpy leg and arm. And because of the gimpiness, I worry about having a heart attack as it takes a tremendous amount of energy.

    I love competitive swimming, too! I spent much of my youth on competitive swim teams (my favorites were back stroke, breast stroke and individual medley). I was always horrible at the butterfly! I don't compete these days, but still love to swim laps when I can wherever I can...whether it be a lake, an Above Ground Pool or the ocean!

    I love to swim as well, though now at the "ripe" age of 53 I am now a swim dad. My daughter is 14 and a highly competitive swimmer. That means most weekends are spent at swim meet across Michigan and Wisconsin.
