"such A Dreamer"

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who wakes up at 3 in the morning with the intense urge to pack up, drive 110mph down the highway to the airport, hop on a plane, and fly away to a distant land. When I tell my friends this, they're always so pragmatic in their responses.
"This kind of thing takes serious planning."
"Why would you want to do that?"
"Where would we go?"
"Why 3 in the morning?"

Who cares?! Let's just GO!

Then I occasionally get the mocking pat-on-the-head gesture, or a guffaw, or a sigh with the disapproving head shake, or I'm told that I'm "such a dreamer."

At least my dreams take me places. Because of my dreams, I've traveled to 8 countries, been a published writer, and continue to check things off my Bucket List like it's a shopping list. If I always thought logically, life wouldn't be an adventure.

I was just like you when I was your age, I loved to go, and was lucky to get to travel in my work. I'm a old fart now and still love to travel but at a little slower pace now.

I hope you get some travel in your life, spontaneous is fun when you're young but as you get older you'll find having a plan can be helpful.

Have fun.

great attitude! follow your dreams and dont get stuck in a boring existence!

3am they say, is when our minds are at their quietest and our souls are soaring heavenward. You are experiencing what I can only call the 'link'. We as human beings are all connected and it will become apparent when we die. Until then, we may feel each others pains and worries, when someone dies or is ill, when something bad or good is about to happen. You are being asked to help, if that means by prayer, consolation, thoughts, all aimed at and for the world around you. I experience this too, I felt someone needed me round the corner from my house, I got up and went, foolishly to find no one there, yet I was convinced of this feeling. After praying and years of this experience, I understood the bond that connects us all, and that for some in the waking hours are being asked to do more. I ask people not to judge but to consider what I say. Nothing is coincidental, God is behind everything. Under the cover of darkness, much sin is committed. When we sleep, some can feel this pain, which urges us on awaking, to feel we have to go and be somewhere else.

Follow your wunderlust, it will be the very fleck of light to get your through the mundane days ahead...

Exactly!!! I've never had the courage to just go with the flow and do something instead of idly thinking. I'm working on changing that now. Let people call me a dreamer all they want. <br />

By the way, you're awesome!
