My Life's Constant Craving

The one thing I've always wanted in life is to travel. To get away, escape, see new places, learn new things. Financially, especially with the cost of fuel these days, it's been virtually impossible. I've been to several places in this country. I've seen the grand canyon, niagara falls. I've been hiking in some beautiful places. But all that seems so long ago. Now I'm older (almost 40) and severely overweight with medical issues and it's looking like the one thing that would bring me peace, the one constant craving I've as long as I can remember will never come to fruition. I read and watch a lot to get my fix, but it's not the same. Plus, Im alone now, and the prospect of traveling alone is not so exciting. Things just aren't as interesting with no one to share it with.
