Changed My Life

I have become a fitness freak. Im not ashamed to admit it. They feeling I get after a 20 miles bike ride, or after lifting weights, jumping rope, playing ball its like I constantly want it.

5 years ago I was one lazy S.O.B. I stayed on my computer all the time, I ate 2 or 3 helpings at dinner and I ate fastfood at least 5 times a week. I got a flat tire on my bike 3 days before I got my drivers license so I never bothered to get it fixed for years because I didnt need to ride for transportation anymore and I never road for recreation.

I thought about my unhealthy lifestyle constantly but never bothered to change it. That was until in 2008 when a few friendships/relationships hit the skids. I was very depressed and needed to do something to get my mind off it. Music usually was my escape but I needed out of the house. So I got my bike fixed. And my workouts just progressed from there.

Bikes, basketball, baseball, tennis, hiking, weight training, boxing. Im up to do it all.

Keeping active is extremely important. I am 66, cycle almost every day, and am in better shape than most people way younger than I.

Working out makes me happy. Sometimes I just need to take out my anger at the gym. I am still working out on eating more and healthy! It's just too bad I can't grow any taller. Perhaps eating healthy when I was younger would have helped.
