What helps, too, I think (or at least for me) is to be in a gym or facility where there are decent people along with a steady buzz, maybe some music, a bit of commotion and other folks going about their workout. You don't have to talk to them but the sense of normalcy that an active environment brings allows me to start what I finish.

We have a wonderful kind-of local gym, Planet Fitness, that is never crowded, low key, no grunting of any sort, plays upbeat music, and costs $10 a month (which, when you think of it, doesn't even pay for the showers).

I also find changing up a the routine keeps it fresh and fun. Cardio is the Elliptical for me but sometimes I get on the bike or treadmill. I'll switch from a machine bench press to free weights (funny, I'm a total weakling at both) and there are dozen ways to work abs. I also think a varied routine may produce better results.

I do.... *or did >:)* 2 minute sprints, with 60 second rests. I haven't done it in a while because I ran barefoot (I have low arches/flat feet, so it's comfortable) and it made my heels rough.... Horrible excuse to stop, but it's the truth, lol. And also.... I kind of slacked off of in my water intake, without enough water daily, I got side aches.

Hey Leela, good to hear from you but coming back at what you've shared,it seems like there's something else that prevents you from doing the sprints again (correct me if I'm wrong)
