Eyes wide open
No Yawning
Never slouch
Am I still awake?
Yes, staring at this computer screen.

My mind is full,
I can't seem to get anything off it,
They tell me,
You must relax,
That feels impossible at this point.

Every part of me just as aware as the other,
I need to be sleeping.
Do I drink?
How shall I discover,

I feel full, more so empty
Empty of slumber,
how do I achieve what I need?
I can't just reach,
It seems utterly hopeless.

If I ever get there,
To the snugness of my bed,
The mattress on the ground,
Perhaps I'll rest,
But, sleep still escapes me.
