I Love to Write
Richard was 12 the first time. He was walking through the part of town that people might say was "bad", or a "ghetto", or "had a high murder rate". But Richard, who had grown up around that stuff, thought that place as home. The only reason he was there was to find someone to pick a fight with. Everyone there knew him already; he had a reputation. Everyone knew about Richard's fights. They didn't last long, and Richard was always the victor.
Richard walked as if he had a strong sense of pride (which he did), smiling at everyone with his con artist smile: One that looked truthfully happy, but the smile of someone you could not trust. He had a couple silver teeth in the back of his mouth. The sun would glint of them every now and then when you talked to him.
Richard was nearly done with his rounds, finding no one that looked like a challenge to fight, when he saw a girl. A girl his age, maybe a year or two older. The was walking across the street from him, in the opposite direction, and was talking to John Cougar, someone Richard knew well, age 23. This girl had really piqued Richard's curiosity: He had never seen her before, yet it seemed like a lot of people knew her. He walked across the street up to her and John.
"Hey, little man! How you doin'?" John asked with a smile.
"Good, good. Who's the girl?"
"My name's Hana", said the girl with a scowl.
Richard turned towards her, "Ah, well, I--... I'm Richard" He faultered as he saw her. She looked different then the girls he would usually chase, but she was still very pretty, and it surprised him. She had shoulder-length black hair, with very large, beautiful brown eyes. Her clothes were all black, making her look very pale. Her face told him she didn't put up with sh!t. A challenge. Richard liked challenges.
John saw how the two were staring at each other. This couldn't be good at all. Hana was a fighter, and it was hard to get on her good side. She was staring at Richard with two daggers. Richard was staring back at her looking that way he did look at women sometimes. John saw this was not good. Not good at all.
"Uhm, well... I'm just gonna head. Play nice, you two."
Hana sighed, annoyed, as John walked down the street. She rolled her eyes, then looked back at Richard. "What do you want?"
Richard was a bit surprised at this. She already didn't like him. It usually took awhile for girls to hate him. "Nothing, nothing, just saw you talkin' to John from over there, just thought I'd introduce myself." He smiled his sly smile, his con-artist smile.
When Hana saw this smile, she was able to read him completely. He was a scrapper. He picked fights. Probably had a couple weapons on him. A dagger or two. Maybe a pistol. Sounded like a challenge. Hana liked challenges. She smiled her sweetest smile at him, "Go away." Hana knew how to set him off.
Richard's smile faultered a bit, "Uhh, what?"
"Go away. I don't want to talk to you."
Richard began to get nervous, "Really, 'cause I thought maybe we could--"
"No. Go away."
Now Richard was mad. "Look, honey, you're gonna p!ss me off soon..."
"Good." Hana smiled at him again. Richard just stared at her in complete disbelief until he realized she wasn't going to budge.
Without any warning at all, Richard pulled out a dagger and stabbed in into Hana's shoulder.

That's just a part of one of the novels I've written. They're definately not for everyone. Hope you enjoy, however. If I get a good reaction, I might write the next part.
