Turmeric Heals

Turmeric is a spice used in Indian curries, but it also has healing properties, it is

Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties, with potential activity against arthritis and other inflammatory maladies
I have often used it, sprinkled on a cup of hot milk, to cure a very sore throat and laryngitis.
This was told to me by an Indian woman that owned a nearby shop. She also said that a hot curry, which contains turmeric of course, will cure the 'flu'. I have not tried that one because, although I love curry it does not like me!

Tumeric is also one of the thhings they "believe" will help if/when pandemic flu becomes a problem. I don't care for it's taste myself.....but you can also get it in capsules which are much more potent than the culinary herb generally used.
I am VERY interested in this area......I LOVE herbal remedies and often use them. I havem, in the past three years learned to identify, collect, and use various plants in this area which can be used for food and medicine. In fact, I have given one whole bed of my garden area over to these, as I believe there will come a time when they will be useful. In the meantime, I just enjoy them.....most of them have beautiful flowers....
Of course, tumeric can't be grown where I am, but there are lots of others that can!

I think turmeric is also able to help with that too, I would suppose you either put it in food or in a drink.

Do you know of any herbs that help wit issues with PMDD? I feel like m life is a mess and I am trying to get better and I don't know how...
