I just took an hour long walk this morning between 7:00 and 8:00. Even though it was 40 degrees outside, I bundled up and went out to get some exercise and commune with nature. The robins are hopping all around heralding spring and there were tons of flowers beginning to bloom. I especially like to walk through a cemetery close by because it's very hilly and peaceful.

I'm a bit fan of walking and feel the same as you've described so well. If I feel in a bad mood for whatever reason, by the time I get home, my mood has changed! If I'm happy, then I come back refreshed! If I don't manage to do this, I get tetchy until I get out their again, lol.

I know what you mean, Intelligently. :) You need a break every now and then from something that starts to get too familiar. You need a change of scenery to help your mind relax and reflect. When the scenery around you and the things you do don't change too often you will find that your mind tenses up and it affects how your whole body feels. Everybody needs this in order to stay sane.

"Thoughts reflective and calm, emotions tender, memories gently floating past your eyes and settling slowly on everything you are seeing. Nothing else matters for a few minutes, except love and appreciation for everything in your life. Even if things have been ugly that day. It's beautiful for just a few minutes."

I wish I lived in an area where I could enjoy such beautiful scenary. Perhaps, someday I will. But I agree.. long walks.. long drives -- anything that gives me time to reflect peacefully on anything and everything. Those moments help you to appreciate life.
