The White Towncar

Friday afternoon as I was driving home from work, I came upon a newer white town car driving well below the posted speed limit.  The posted speed limit was 35.

The town car had headrests both on the front seats and on the back seat. The front headrests were blocking the profile of the driver, so it appeared as though no one was driving.  (Reminds me of a book I have read called Invisible Driving by Alistair McHarg)

Anyhooooo....I noticed what appeared to be 4 metal curved bars sticking up in the back seat.  As the car swerved occasionally from one side of the lane to the other, I was wondering if I was driving behind a drunk driver.

I decided to go around the town car.  I put on my turn signal and moved into the inside lane, knowing there was the turn lane as a quick way to get out of the way of the slow moving and swaying town car.

I sped up and made my move.  At I drove by, I looked over at the driver just as they came into to my view.  And what did I see....Two of the cutest, white haired old ladies with their walkers in the back seat!!  Making eye contact with the driver, I waved and both she and the passenger smiled and waved back!!

As I drove on down the road, I could only imagine these two feisty old ladies shopping at Macy's or Nordstrom's with their walkers guiding them down the isles!!  I love watching feisty old ladies-especially when they are driving!!

Sometimes, some the friendliest people are older!

I think this one needs to be re-visited. Very funny...Best part is how you connected with them..smiles all around.
