Impressive

I've never read the graphic novels the movie is based on, but it turns out that's not really a requirement for understanding.  Not the best story in the world, but the production values are impressive.  I love the soundtrack: Philip Glass, Leonard Cohen,Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel, Nena (in German), all in one movie.  And some great visuals.  All wrapped around a decent story.  So much American political history in it, I wonder how it will play overseas.

I'll be seeing it again.

I'm afraid I didn't catch that...I don't know any Smashing Pumpkins songs. The Philip Glass music in the trailer I saw was what drew me to see the movie.

I thought it interesting that they used a Smashing Pumpkins song for the trailer that I'm pretty sure I did not hear during the movie... I guess it wouldn't have matched the setting of the movie.

The opening credits made me want to go back and play with Adobe Premiere again. And I loved all the obscure references in the movie, though I'm sure I didn't get them all!
