Dams.

There are 2 million dams in the United States.

Of those 2 million, 70,00 are under 6 feet tall.

60,000 are over 13 feet tall.

Hmm. I thought I had responded. Did someone delete it?
Anyway, I'll say it again. Originally, as documented, dams were installed to destroy salmon. Which they do. In turn, it would rid them of the "Native problem." Dams were a genocidal weapon, designed specifically to terminate Native Americans and their food source. They later learned of the other outcome of dams.

I think that most of these are referred to as breakwaters and they are on streams and creeks to regulate flow!

ROFL! Nude stole what I was gonna say! :O
Scary thing about the 6 footer dams, though! THat's NOT high! Where are these things?/... Arizona??? lol

Dam good information. lol
