I Love Wet Socks
When I was 21, I had already been at my job for three years, so I decided it was time to buy a house. It was a small salt box house, but there was room inside for a jacuzzi. I made room for it. I remember the day I bought my jacuzzi. It was the perfect Saturday afternoon for jacuzzi shopping because it was snowing.
I went to the pool and spa store, and I was comparing jacuzzis. I never bought one before, so I didn't know what I was doing, but I was serious about buying one. The salesman said I was free to try them out if I wanted. I didn't know that people could test drive jacuzzis in the show room, but I wanted to try out the tub. The salesman told me where the changing room was so I could get into my swimsuit. What? I didn't bring a swimsuit. I didn't even own a swimsuit, and I still don't.
I do remember I was wearing pink slouch socks with jeans and a red, pink, and white fluffy sweater that day. So, I took of my sneakers and I took off my coat and was going to get into the tub. The salesman said "Are you just going to get in there with your clothes on?", and I said "Yeah, why?". He looked at me funny and said "OK, that's up to you. You're the first person I've seen try out a tub with all of their clothes on."
I stepped into the jacuzzi and my pink socks turned dark pink and the bottoms of my jeans turned dark blue as they got wet. I sat down in the water and immersed myself to my neck. I was in jacuzzi heaven. The hot water felt so good bubbling around me. I didn't want to get out of the tub, so I just had the salesman bring me the paperwork on a clipboard, and I signed the paperwork while still sitting in the tub.
