cheap red wine will bring you headache for sure... :/
-
maybe is that you should have a glass not a bottle. LOL
But seriously I agree that some cheep wine is tasty. You may have an allergy to red grape wine and the process. All depends on wine and type, cab sav, merlot. shiraz etc. You may find when you have a glass of water after drinking red wine before going sleep it makes a difference. -
Thanks for the tip!! I'm trying to cut out drinking altogether at the minute - I haven't drank for about a month. I don't find it hard, I never had a problem I just feel that it doesn't benefit me at all.

Wine is not for everybody. I can't drink white for strange reasons but love red. I actually never like drinking to get drunk (bench drinking) but I love to have nice red with food. I do eat with my drink except scotch. I have sometimes a glass of scotch without water or ice. Just small shot in it. Then I sip it for up to two hours. Just for taste. If you don't feel that is right for you listen to the body and don't drink it. If it's OK go for it but just for the taste.

:)
I would never dream of wasting a lot of money on something I was going to drink only to pee it all out again anyway lol! -
Ooo Danda is quite the expert methinks :)
Wine is wine to me and all pretty much tastes the same - I don't understand these wine tasting things where you smell it for ages, sip it and then spit it out O_O Just get it down your neck already :) -
I'm always emotional so it makes not difference to me lol
-
LOL - yep same here Danda - even if i do only buy the cheap stuff I'm still not wasting a drop :)
-
Thats the problem - perhaps some Cava or Champagne instead :)
-
See thats better! :)
I don't really like champagne much - I find it too dry :) -
Ahhh what champagne do you like best? My friend pays silly amounts for hers when we are out - like £120 a bottle O_O
-
I'm not much of a wine fan, although I cook with rhine wine. That's not why I'm commenting though, I just wanted to say...wow! You are busy busy today on EP. I finish ONE story and get back to my circle activity and the whole thing is filled with your accomplishments...sheesh...you go girl :)
-
Exactly Danda - I think I could get drunk for a fortnight on that much money!
-
No it's not worth it - not when you get physical pain!
-
I like the giant 1.5l bottle of white they sell in Tesco. It's surprisingly tasty :)
I do like the odd Bollinger though... -
YUCK - Tequilla is lethal - I hate the stuff along with sambuca *shivers*
Tesco wine is great :) -
Yeah me too. I've had one too many Tequila hangovers... *Shudder*
-
I used to be a vodka drinker but even that doesn't agree with me anymore - it gives me memory loss - although depending how much I've had it can be a good thing!!
-
Ewwww sambuca is deadly!
Southern comfort is my fave! :) -
I used to be big on the JD... but spiced rum is one of my faves now.
A friend of mine lost an eyebrow in a terrible flaming sambuca accident... :( It was hiiiilarious though! XD -
It could have been a truly horrific injury... but I was just too busy laughing to care!
-
I have no eyebrows to lose seeing as I just shave mine off anyway :)
-
What?!!! You shave your EYEBROWS?!!
Sorry... i love wine too! -
LOL - Yep I shave them and then draw them on :)
I've done it since I was like 14 or 15 - there was a reason behind it at the time, a few reasons actually, now it's just something I'm used to doing! :) -
Hmmm... so you're kind of the Joan Crawford of EP!!!
-
gee thanks O_O
-
Just so you know, I NEVER use wire hangers!
-
I love all kinds of wine and I like learning about different varieties. And I agree that you don't have to drop a bundle on wine to enjoy it unless you're on some kind of conspicuous consumption trip. Lately there are some excellent red and white wines from Australia and South America that are less expensive than many California or French wines but are far better.
As for wine headaches, I used to get them with Chardonnay, which I really like but had to stop drinking. However, I've had good luck with a product called "Chaser" that claims to prevent drinking headaches and hangovers. They make a version specifically for wine headaches, and I have to say, it has worked great for me. -
I've not heard of Chaser before nyxie - maybe I'll try it if I ever drink again :)

Berringers Sparkeling Whit Zinn. MMMMMMM.....love that bubbely...I know it is not "champ."but it is still the greatest....ANd ony $5-7 a bottle...It is the greatest.....Yea California Wines (of corse most people on EP it would cost more....Then it would be importeed) Go figure
