There are societies still who keep their traditions alive by word-of-mouth transference. However, there are bigger societies who use what is known as a codex, and within it record using funny little squiggles, called letters and words, to keep alive their traditions in a more permanent form than just the human brain.

I advocate everyone should read at least one book a month. By reading you grow your mind and your consciousness, if not to facts then to experiences. I think it is why places like this EP are increasingly great mediums by which to add to the wealth of written work out there. This might seem ethereal, but you can print words out from the internet!
