Living The Dream Part 2

I slumped down the stairs all the way to the bottom floor. I opened the office door and there he was. It was Simon cowell. I only talked to him on the phone but actually meeting him face to face is awesome! The thing that ruined it was my shyness.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked.

"I still have to clean out my locker. I already returned all my textbooks," I replied.

The secretary gave me a cardboard box and a master lock. Simon followed me out of the office and back up to the top floor. I was speed walking down the deserted hallways that smelled of Axe and perfume. When we got to the last few lockers on the right side and I got my knees. I had a bottom locket. I opened up my locker and put all my things into the box. The last decoration I took down was a picture of all my friends with me standing in the middle with a huge smile on my face. I smiled and I put it into my pocket. I closed my locker and I put on the master lock showing that no one was using the locker anymore. Simon took my outside and to his car. He put my things in the trunk and he handed me one of my bags.

"All your other bags and suitcases are in the back. Your mother wanted me to give this bag to you so you don't get bored on the plane ride," he explained.

"Thanks," I mumbled shyly.

I texted my mom saying that I was safe and I was on my way to the airport. I texted my sister saying that I'll FaceTime her when I get to my destination. Then I got into the car and he pressed the gas pedal and I was on my way to the airport. And that is a half hour drive from my town.

"So, um are you excited?" Simon asked awkwardly.

"Uh, I'm kinda feeling mixed emotions," I said quietly.

I guess my parents told him I was shy. So he understood that I was probably gonna be quiet for a while. He tried to male conversations with me, but they only lasted like five minutes. I watched my town become smaller and smaller and seeing the airport become bigger and bigger. And then the little town I called home disappeared and the car stopped in the parking lot of the airport.

"I'll help you with your bags," Simon said.

"Thanks," I muttered.

He took a few bags and I took my suitcases and my giant roll around case for my drum set. I play the drums. We made our way through the line and we passed the security system. We sat down in chairs and we waitedfor our flight to be called. Our flight doesn't start for another hour. Add that to the eight hour flight to Europe and the one hour drive to the apartment in London. In total if I don't sleep I'm gonna have some serious jet lag and I'll be really REALLY tired.
