Writing Letters Is Fun

I love writing letters. I have friends who moved away to other cities and the best way of communication with them is through letters.
Though I do enjoy hand-written letters, I prefer e-mail instead. Faster and cheaper.
The process is pretty easy for me, I just open Word and start typing. I pretend that the person is sitting in front of me and we're having a conversation.
Usually my letters come out pretty long to say the least, usually a minimum of 2-2.5 pages (times new roman font size 10). I took after my grandfather on this part. When I write letters, I don't notice the time and just go with the flow.

Sometimes I use a dialog form of letter. My friend M moved away several years ago. We exchange letters once every couple of weeks. The way we do it is this. For example, I write a letter first, where each subject would be on a separate paragraph. And I would type just as I'm typing here, with capital and small letters. When M replies, she goes from top of my letter and comments right under the paragraphs she wants to comment using capital letters . When I receive her reply, I also go from the top and comment her comments underneath her texts in capitals, but marking my reply with some kind of symbol, like '='. So by the time we exchange a letter back and forth several times, it becomes very long and consists of small dialogs on subjects we're discussing. And its fun to dig out our old letters and read those little dialogs :))
