Best Exercise

Breath. Stretch. Breath. Hold. Relax. I love the fluid movements of yoga. As I follow the movements, I can feel the stress of the day melting away. I can feel my muscles stretching, my body bending, and I am aware of every inch of my being. Yoga has given me a self awareness I never had before.
I love noticing that my body gains strength and flexibly every week. When a new pose is introduced, it usually is quite difficult and my body shakes unstably as I use new muscles. After a week or two, I find that I can do the pose with confidence and ease. Its a great feeling.
My posture, figure and eating habits have all improved since I started yoga. I walk with my head high and I use my core muscles to support my frame, giving me a more confident and graceful appearance. I am more aware of my body, and its needs so i choose healthy wholesome foods that will nourish it (well most of the time...I cant totally resist pizza haha)
Yoga is a great workout for the body and mind. I would recommend it to anyone, especially people who sit in an office chair all day. I also like to incorporate some cardiovascular, i usually belly dance...which is another story but tons of fun!

I like the yoga-belly dance combination too. I had a teacher who taught both when I first learned belly dancing. They compliment each other very well/
