I Would Never Consider Doing Yoga a Few Years Back

I find it quite funny to look back at my less-open self and have a chuckle. A number of years ago I would never even have considered doing yoga. I did martial arts and weight lifting and yoga was just something goofy middle-aged women did.

Well, here I am, 36 year old male, and I LOVE YOGA. I plan to do it for the rest of my life. I find it incredibly rewarding. It gives an amazing workout (I do Vinyasa and Power yoga mostly) while still leaving you relaxed and refreshed rather than exhausted like most of my former favorite forms of exercise.

It is a solid system based on the observation of true masters over 3000+ years. I recommend it to people all the time. I am an acupuncturist and I consantly recommend it to patients.

It is a simple, unfortunate and unavoidable fact that as we age we get stiffer and less limber. Each year, to stay flexible we actually need to stretch more and more, just to keep up with good old aging. Yoga can definately slow that stiffening process. I highly recommend it and I thoroughly enjoy it. 3 cheers for Yoga.

45 yr old male here. Took up vinyassa yoga a little over a year ago. Love it! Lost 60 plus lbs and feel great. Once every 3 days. I did martial arts fre about 6 years and think thats why I took to it so much. It's amazing how u can get a whole other level of burn if u are precise with ur form like a kata in yoga. It's amazing how yoga carves ur body up. If u look at the sexiest people in the worlid list almost all of them do yoga. Figured something must be right about it so tried it and haven't stopped yet.

I also Grind my teeth and it becomes very painful meditation might help really depends how long you ve been doing it for as i think it becomes a habit

well said i love to see u at one of our classes where are you from ?

As an acupunturist, do you ever treat ppl for teeth grinding. I apparently grind my teeth during the night because of stress. I don't realize when I do it but my mishapen teeth are proof. I need to find a way to stop doing it. I plan to start yoga next session in January to help reduce internal stress. The thing is I don't feel it myself! So it must be all subconscious. It's hard to try to fix something that you are unaware of. Any advice?
