Billy Was My Hero...

When the movie first was released, there was a shabby movie theater in my neighborhood where you could see a Double Feature for fifty cents -- no kidding! So I must have seen that movie about 20 times before the theater stopped showing it.

I loved it when Billy made Bernard drive his brand-new $6,000.00 Corvette into the lake ("Floor it!"); and the line "When policemen break the law, then there is no law";and who can forget "I just go ber-SERK!"?

And the street theater scene (with Howard Hesseman, who went on to star in "WKRP In Cincinnati") at the bus stop with the gun and the hat -- hilarious!

Jeez, I loved that movie....

Met Tom Laughlin and Dolores Taylor a few years back. He teaches philosphy and works in cancer research.
We worked on mutual project together.

LOL! John Travolta in Urban Cowboy. Now THAT"S a way cool hat! LOL

Whaaat? That's a way cool hat!

Maybe Buford was tougher because he carried a bat :-)
But you had to be tough to wear that Billy Jack hat LOL

IDK, that's a tough one. They both were idealistic... but maybe Billy was tougher because he didn't need a baseball bat...

A classic of our times for sure. Now I got 'Tin Soldier' running through my head. LOL
Hey Spider, who was tougher, Billy Jack or Buford Pusser form Walking Tall? :-)
