My Best Friend

I suppose she did love me, just not in the same way. In 8th grade I was still under the assumption that I was straight. I don't quite know when it started, but I began falling for my best friend. She, at the time, was crushing on a guy, and would vent to me. I learned to deal with it, but it wasn't until 2 years later that my love for her faded. I still love her, but as a friend, the way I should have loved her all along.
