If you have the time, on weekends try to sleep for as long as humanly possible. I always have more dreams and more lucid dreams when I'm asleep for 10-12 hours. Or maybe I just remember them better!

my ability started because of nightmares. I used to have a lot of nightmares and somewhere along the way in my early twenties I started to tell myself they aren't real. Somehow, I was able to do that while I was dreaming - realize it wasn't 'real'; not to run and to stand and face whatever was going on...and I just continued doing so until I was almost always able to quickly understand I was dreaming while I was dreaming - it started with the nightmares but I guess because I was doing it so often it then spilled over to my normal dreams. Then I was able to know I was dreaming and start having an 'active' role in what I was doing.

A few months ago - I was really feeling sick a lot, so I was sleeping a lot. And I was able to almost slip into the dream like I was plugging into the Matrix. It was a trip! I couldn't do it 100% of the time - but most of the time. And once I was asleep enough to start dreaming but realized I was in the dream world - it was so much fun! It felt SO REAL!!

I guess I don't have any specific advise other than to keep trying to be aware that you are dreaming and then once you are in the dream and aware try to stay aware for as long as possible and see if you can control what you are doing.

My experience has been that I can control myself and what I do but not necessarily what I'm dreaming or what scenario is brought to me - almost like in real life. It must be amazing to be able to also control what you dream!! But all of it is totally trippy and I love it! Dream away!! =)

last night for the first time in my life I was able to control my Lucid Dream ! at least I was able to complete a reality test and then I could go through the wall in my room. I was able to do it almost after a year of trying on and off... but I did it and I feel great! i reached level two :) keep trying . keep a dream journal. think about it as much as possible during the day so that you get used to the idea. :) question every thought, image or sound when you are falling asleep that might help you to jump-start your experience. write about it and talk to your friends about so that you don't keep it to yourself that way you'll be more conscious about it! hope it helps!

Start by keeping a dream diary, then build in reality checks in waking life, that'll eventually be incorporated into your dreams and you'll realize you're dreaming. Once you're there you can practice controlling the dream and staying lucid.

Keep trying, it can sometimes take a long time to get there!
