Make That Two
On a family trip to Maine for my late grandfather's 90th birthday with my parents, we picked up one of my uncles at the airport outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Shortly after that, we stopped in for lunch at a nearby IHOP. As we were walking into the restaurant, we saw someone who looked a lot like Dustin Rhodes, better known as Goldust, walking out. Thinking nothing of it, we came in and sat down for lunch. As we were eating, my mom noticed two familiar individuals. They turned out to be the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. After she pointed them out to me, I walked up and had a very brief conversation, asking Davey Boy Smith if he in fact was the British Bulldog (even though I already knew that it was him), to which he said yes. Two minutes after I sat back down to eat, they disappeared. I guess that knowing that someone recognizing them might lead to an autograph session, when they simply were looking to eat, was why they left. Either way, that was so cool.
