Hormones Or Depression?

I am 90% sure I have depression. However, I'm only 13. Yet I tend to act a bit different then my 13-year-old friends; so that's where the 90% comes in.
However, my parents kind of have this anti-therapy thing where they believe anyone in psychology is evil. That's a bit of an exaggeration; but they don't trust psychologists. I'm afraid to tell them; they might laugh in my face. Out of all the disorders, they think depression-with the addition of ADD-is dumbest. Plus, most people I know think depressed people are weird.
It might be hormones, too; another reason I'm afraid to tell people. I don't want to give them a false alarm.
I don't know. I'm a confused teenager who might of just confused you. The end.

I struggle with depression, and have as long as I can remember. I'd like to recommend a book called Man's Search for Meaning, by Viktor Frankl. It has really helped me stay out of the depression trap and move on with my life.

Depression is a way for the devil to get to you. with love and prayer to Jesus ... you should hopefully find peace

That's nice. Thanks.

Any time

As someone who also sometimes suffers from depression, might I ask why you think you might have depression?

For the past few months, I've had lack of sleep and tend to get sad for no specific reason. I've also cut-though not to much.
