Happy Birthday ____. This is a very important birthday for you so I hope everyone will make it memorable for you. I wish I was able to celebrate with you. I'm sure if you see this you'll be annoyed, or perhaps laugh that I'm still reaching out to you. Here's the truth though...when I told you I would ALWAYS be here for you, no matter what, I meant that. So even now, when you're not ready or unwilling to be my friend, I am still here extending my friendship to you. That will never change.
You birthday when I was there with you....that's still my very favorite memory of my life. I was so excited when I found your missing glove. I couldn't wait to give it to you and see your surprise. I was so happy when you came home...and we had the best night ever. I can still remember our conversation that night at ____'s. I could tell how excited you were to explain everything to me, you used your hands and got so into it! lol. I remember us jumping in those puddles and just being such big dorks. It doesn't sound like much compared to I don't know, hiking Mount Everest or sky diving....but the truth is, I was simply so happy that I was with you and I wanted you to have such a special day on your birthday. I hope that memory can still make you smile.
I know we can not be together romantically, but I do hope in time you will allow me to be your friend again. I miss you immensely.
