Push It, Push It Real Goood.

Why hello ladies. This is completely random and actually has nothing to do with a struggle or sadness at all. I just wanted to share with you all one of the things I have been doing to pass the time during this deployment. David, my boyfriend,deployed in August and let me tell you that boy works out. He goes to the gym for at least 2 and a half hours a day. I am sure this is completely normal and that many of your significant others are addicted to the gym as well. David and I decided to make a promise to one another when he left that we would both hold each other accountable to go stay fit and exercise before we head off to our cruise in May. It's been fun really. Whenever my girlfriends ask me why I spend all my time at the gym anymore I just reply with a simple, "there is no way in hell I'm gunna let me boyfriend be hotter than me." Funny, I know. But seriously, I would reccommend this to any of you. I was totally NOT a gym girl. I didn't eat healthy and the most exercise I did was picking the cookie up off the plate and putting it into my mouth. HAHAH. No, but with all jokes aside ANYONE can do this. I ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes this evening. Months ago, I would have stopped after 5 and said it was too hard. I feel great, and anytime I wanted to stop I just reminded myself who I was running for and I pushed through. I know this is completely random, but I just wanted to share it with you all. If you're looking for something to do to pass the time while you're man is away I would highly reccommend the gym or even signing up for a ZUMBA or Yoga class. You will look and feel happier.

How ironic - I've been going to the gym every day since my boyfriend left for his deployment! Him and I have an agreement...at least four times a week for each of us. I like it because I currently live alone and don't have cable, so there's never anything on. Between that and being completely stir crazy, I have the motivation that I need to get my butt up an into the gym. Now normally I'm pretty athletic and in shape, but I've really kicked it into gear in the last couple of months since he's been gone. I love doing this because it helps me sleep at night and gives me something to do with the empty hours in my day.

I've been doing the same thing! My boyfriend is deployed until Feb and when his sub docks, he will be in Pearl Harbor. He is so amazing, he bought me a plane ticket to meet him in Hawaii! So the pressure is on to get my bod into shape so I can be in a swimsuit in 8 weeks! But I agree, it definitely helps me be happier and keeps me from stir crazy. The countdown is on! :)
