Basically my boyfriend of 8 years is in jail right now for 8 months, and please don't think I'm being a baby because I know its not that long. I haven't been able to talk to him in a couple months because:
4 months ago he took about 75 Nortryptaline capsules, while completely half dead and out of it he had a seizure and knocked himself unconcious along with giving himself a nice looking Rocky 1 black/swollen eye.
2 days later his family (we live on property/house/shop his Mom left to him an his nephew the previous year when she died), mainly his nephews late stage alcoholic father said he saw me kick my boyfriend in the butt which made him fall forward giving him the black eye.
Because of domestic violence laws in Oregon, I was promptly arrested, spent the weekend in jail and to my surprise was not "no complainted" out but charged with assault 4 and harrassment, which included a no contact order.
During March and April my boyfriend spent most of the time in the psych ward, voluntarily, we found each other and spent about 2 wks together before he went back to the psych ward and then back out, then to jail to be sentenced for something unrelated (the 8 months).
So, as of last Wednesday when my case was finally dismissed due to no case (nobody in the family ever cared what happened, or showed up to any of my court things and my boyfriend tried to petition the DA to have it dropped) I can now go visit him in jail. We have never not talked for more than a couple days. I haven't gone and seen him, written or anything yet and it is now Sunday. What is wrong with me. Why am I scared. I'm worried he's going to do his usual "I'm no good for you, don't come see me, I'm a piece of ****" speech.
Anyway, so much for trying to make it short.

Posted Jul 5th, 2009 at 10:01PM I don't think anyone would blame you for needing a few days to yourself to recover after all the stress and drama. Maybe you discovered that you can stand on your own two feet without him while he was gone. If it were me, I'd be thinking he's more trouble than he's worth..lol What we do for love... I hope it all works out for you. Take advantage of the peace and quiet and think about what you really want. What would make denamme happy? Best of luck to you both.
Posted Aug 13th, 2009 at 8:46PM It is hard not to be judgmental but your story speaks volumes of a dysfunction relationship. Life, as you may know , can be n most difficult without traveling through it in the company of a drug user, and a man with apparent psychological problems. Think carefully of what would simplify your life and give you the best chance for happiness.. I may be wrong but my perception is that it will not be with him. I do believe your hesitance in contacting him is an indication that you too are seeing a problematic life facing you with him.
