I Miss My Childhood Friend
I've had few best friends in my lifetime, only a total of 3 who I trusted 100%.
My first best friend, Erin, was my playmate from 3-5, but then I moved far away and we lost touch. Not much to say about her, she was the first friend I remember having and I'll never forget that :)
My second best friend, Hanna, is someone who I was very close with. We did everything together, until a different girl became both of our friends and decided she hated me. She told Hanna lies and turned her against me, and I found myself completely friendless at school, but I had someone else.
My other best friend, Camila, will always be the one who was closest to me. We both had our friends turn on us, we both had controlling mom's and we went through everything together. When I found out I was moving 10 hours away, I cried for days, and I was afraid to tell her. One of my 'friends' found out and mentioned it in front of her. She ran out crying and I followed her, and we cried together because we both knew that it was going to be hard to keep in touch. The following year, she moved across the continent and it became even more difficult to talk to her. The only way of contacting her I have is her cell phone number, which I don't even know if it's correct.
Now, I have 'friends' here, but it's so difficult to keep friendships when you're older because such stupid little dramas keep tearing us apart. I miss the good old days when we used to bike down to the park and play on the playground, when we stayed out on the street in the summer until dark playing tag, when we catalogued every piece of Barbie clothing we had. The only fights we had were over Polly Pockets and who got which one, and we would make up 10 minutes later because we couldn't stand fighting. I miss my childhood friend(s)
