My dad wasn't the best, but he was still a dad. He was always there for me when my mom got too drunk. Or when i didn't know what to do. He died when i was 12. When my aunt came over to my mothers (my parents were already divorced) i could tell something was wrong, And when i found out what had happened that my dad had died in a car crash. It killed part of me. I couldn't eat, i couldn't sleep, i wouldn't talk to anyone. my sister was even worse. But i had one thing left of him, and that was his guitar. I love that instrument. because when i play it makes me feel like part of him is still here.

I'm so sorry for your loss hon. You were so young when he passed away. Part of him will alwayz be with you Adam. The two of you were very close. You looked up to your Dad, your protector. He was obviously a good man and a loving father! How wonderful that you have his guitar and still play it yourself. The very guitar that he once played. How proud he must be of you! His love and memories live on through the music you play on that gutar as well as in your heart...and in this story. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I love heartfelt storie's like this, it brought me to tears. xxxHUGZ4Uxxx
