My Dad Passed Away Feb. 28, 2012

This has been such a hard year for me and my family but we are making it by the grace of God. Things started back in Dec. 2011 about two weeks after he turned 64. He started not feeling well and had to go into kidney dialysis. Then his liver started to get bad and the next couple months things progressed out of nowhere. it was a total shock and unexpected but he passed away at home on Feb. 28. We know he is in a better place and no pain.

Everyone here knew of him. His name was Brady Burks. He was such a hard worker all of his life. He had to grow up fast and help take care of his family when he was lil. He never complained and worked hard all of his life for what he earned. He paid all debts he helped his family with everything. And he made sure that mom and we all would still be taken care of even after he passed. he had things all done. We promised that we'd take care of mom and we are.

My parents got married Dec. 5, 1970 and say they had a few furloughs along way lol. They were meant to be :) They met in Chicago, IL :) Mom's from Kentucky and dad's from West Virginia. They acclomplished so much over years and they are the best. They taught us so much. They raised us all right taught us about Jesus etc.

My dad is best known for looking like Conway Twitty :) or Elvis Presley with his curls in the days. He used to to drag race back in the day haha. He has a 58 chevy Impala which we have yet. he has had since 1979 :) He loved playing his guitar and singing. His fave song was Go rest High on the Mountain.

It's very hard without him here because he always played with the grandkids, loved to cook on grill, go to WV every year, etc. He is in heaven now with his parents and some of his siblings which he buried. I love you daddy :) We miss you and will see you again. My girls called him papaw :)
