When you lose a loved one, nothing can be said to make it better. A true friend will just be there...

You may have them, but the reality is that most people don't know how to act or react to death. I learned through the painful experience of helping a friend through the sudden and tragic loss of his little boy. Sometimes you just need someone to hold your hand while you grieve.

I know, I don't expect anyone to know what to say but even my bestfriend tell me to not go to her if I'm upset because she feels useless. So I then have no one, its hard explaining to people that all I need is a shoulder to cry on

I understand, would your bf understand if you told her you just need someone to hold your hand while you grieve?

May I ask what you miss most about your dad?

I don't know, don't want to make her feel awkward and I miss how he use to tell me everything like because I was young he knew that I'd not tell anyone so he use to tell me how he felt about his life at the point in time and just talk to me like I was his only friend which I obviously wasn't but yeh

Sounds like you were important to him, he felt he could confide in you. Even though he is gone far too early in your life, you enjoyed a relationship with him that is a real treasure. Not many people experience that quality of relationship with a parent. Try to remember that as you go through life.

Could you journal your thoughts and feelings? Maybe pages every day, or maybe just a paragraph.

Yeh thats a good idea actually, I've only ever written in my iPod notes when I'm really upset and I just write what I feel but yeh might get a diary might help to just get it all out, thanks Luke!

Yeah, if your ipod crashes its gone. A diary or notebook is something you may go back to in the future.
