They are both right. I lost my father in 2003 and the pain still hits me. It is another sad situation that you have to try and cope with. I hope he rests in peace.

Cuterose is right. The pain won’t just suddenly disappear. It will be always be part of your life and I am sure that it changed you.
My father died 10 years ago, but I still love him. For the things he taught me and the things we have experienced together. And of course I miss him.
It helps me to know that there are others out there, who experienced the same. It helps me to know that they understand what I feel. That they know that there are good days and bad days.
My father is still part of my life and so is yours. I regret that he missed so many things that happened in my life after he died and I regret that he can’t be part of it anymore.
Sure it’s not good to hold on to the pain and you shouldn’t let yourself be tied down by it. I am grateful for my memories even if they still hurt me sometimes. Because the pain remembers me that I loved him. That he was part of my life.
I am sure, that he didn’t wanted to die, but he couldn’t do anything about it. I am sure that he didn’t want me to mourn for the rest of my life. That’s why I want to live my life happy. Even if there is pain sometimes, it is part of who I am. And that’s why it’s okay for me.
There are always good and bad things in life. Things that hurt you and things that make you laugh out loud. As stupid as it sounds, both is important. Pain and Joy. That is what makes the life worth living.

The pain never goes away but you`ll know how to deal with it, you`ve to accept what happened and cope in your life to achieve your and his dreams, to make him proud of you.
Peace to you!
